3D PRINTING
At the Streb Group, our dedicated 3D printing lab is integral to our daily research efforts, enhancing our department workshop capabilities. We specialize in designing and printing customized labware, modular and reproducible photoreactors, electrochemical cell components, and functional electrodes. This approach allows us to rapidly iterate experimental setups and ensure identical hardware is easily reproduced in collaborating labs worldwide.
Our equipment
We have always relied on printers from Prusa Research, as they combine precision, quality, and user-friendliness in one device. Currently, we operate four Prusa CORE One+ for standard applications, one Prusa XL for larger and multi-material projects, and a Prusa Pro HT90 for high-performance materials. To become even more flexible in terms of materials and geometries, we are expanding our fleet with the Prusa Pro SLX. This allows us to efficiently design and print a wide variety of objects.
Materials
We offer a comprehensive selection of materials needed for various applications in our daily work. Standard materials include PLA, PETG, PC, PA, PP, ABS, ASA, and TPU. In addition, with HT90, we can process high-performance materials such as PEI, PEEK, PEKK, PPSU, PSU, PPS, PES, and PVDF. These materials are particularly important for applications that require temperature stability and chemical resistance and are therefore indispensable in our daily laboratory work.
Filament production
We use the Filmend Maker 2 from 3devo in our research to develop our own filament with special additives that are not commercially available. This technology helps us test new materials and explore innovative solutions.
