New paper on molecular water oxidation in Angewandte Chemie

Our  latest collaborative work with the group of Prof. Dr. Leticia González (Institute of Theoretical Chemistry, University of Vienna), published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition and highlighted on the journal cover.

The study combines molecular dynamics simulations with spectroscopic and electrochemical experiments to show how the oxidation state of a manganese-vanadium polyoxometalate water-oxidation catalyst controls the organisation of acetonitrile/water solvent mixtures in its immediate environment.

The work was carried out as part of the SFB-TRR 234 "CataLight".
